Life isn’t all rainbows and joy. While positive things are what humans tend to focus on, negative things are still apart of the order of life and Nature.
When I say positive, I speak of life, light, order, joy, etc.
Negative would be death, darkness, chaos, anger, etc.
What, if any, religion embraces and perhaps uses both of these concepts, be it in the nature of their gods, in practice, belief, etc?
Any Pagan or pantheism based religions?
Buddhism
METAL!!
We of Metalicism play Metal of the evils of the world! Death Metal happens to focus on this. The Heavy Metal gods know the balance of good and evil, and ensured that there were genres for each.
May your heart be blessed with steel.
Christianity
Death, Jesus overcame it and so shall we.
Darkness, Jesus is the Light of the World.
Chaos, Jesus brings order and harmony.
Anger, Be angry yet, do not sin.
Many forms of Wicca acknowledge that death, pain, and destruction exist and have their place in the natural order of things. We choose to focus (generally speaking) on life, pleasure, and creation. but are prepared to deal with the “negative” aspects of existence when necessary. There are times when pain teaches valuable lessons, and when it is necessary and good to bring things to an end, and when chaos is the breeding ground for creativity and inspiration.
Taoism certainly does. It doesn’t speak of deities but leaves room if someone wants to believe in them. But the complete nature of life, the bad with the good, are very much there.
