An explanation of how I’ve come to choose which god to follow. I’m not saying this method is right for everyone, but it worked for me.

Like I said, not in a sleazy way; in a nudist colony, or in fine art. In non-sexual situations.

What does your religion think of it all?

Is the human body something to be celebrated and admired in all it’s fleshy glory? Or is nudity a representative of sexual desire and immoral sexual acts?

Please let me know which religion/non religion you are part of when you answer, so I get a clearer idea of people’s thoughts on the subject.

They could teach around 6 weeks on every major religion. Christianity, Jewish beliefs,Islam,Hindu, and have a unit on Atheism too. I think it would be nice to learn about other religions and not be so ignorant to other’s beliefs. You wouldn’t be forcing religion on anyone ,simply teaching about different religions and beliefs.

Complete video at: fora.tv Australian geologist Ian Plimer argues that, for many agnostics and atheists, the cause of environmentalism has replaced organized religion as a matter of personal faith. —– While the world’s religions have inspired stunning acts of creation, they also have been implicated in some of the darkest deeds in human history. If God cannot be blamed for such moments of evil, His priests and prophets at least have a case to answer. So what might they say? That religion is unfairly blamed — and that we should look to other factors? Admit that there are problems but argue that on balance the good outweighs the bad? That there is no alternative; that people need religion like they need air? – Intelligence Squared Ian Plimer is Emeritus Professor of Earth Sciences at the University of Melbourne and Professor of mining geology at the University of Adelaide. He is a prominent critic of creationism, and is famous for a debate with creationist Duane Gish in which he asked his opponent to hold live electrical cables to prove that electromagnetism was ‘only a theory’. He has published over 120 academic papers and six popular books. He is also a prominent member of the Australian Skeptics. In 2004 he was awarded the Calrk Medal by the Rioyal Society of NSW. In the late 1990s, Plimer was involved in legal proceedings concerning the location of Noah’s Ark, in which Plimer was ultimately unsuccessful. His most recent book, Telling Lies For God, has a forward by Archbishop Peter Hollingsworth. Professor Plimer argues that religion is important for the fabric of society.

"Religion is Bullshit" – a funny bit about religion by the late George Carlin. — Subscribe to Science & Reason: • www.youtube.com • www.youtube.com • www.youtube.com — George Carlin (1937-2008) was a champion of free speech. Some thought he was the greatest comedian that had ever lived. Although raised in the Roman Catholic faith (which he describes anecdotally on the albums FM & AM and Class Clown), Carlin often denounced the idea of God in interviews and performances, notably with his "Religion" and "There Is No God" routines as heard in You Are All Diseased. Carlin also joked in his first book Brain Droppings that he worshiped the Sun, one reason being that he could actually see it. This was earlier mentioned in You Are All Diseased, along with the statement that he prayed to Joe Pesci (a good friend of his in real life) because "he's a good actor", and "looks like a guy who can get things done!" In his HBO special Complaints and Grievances, Carlin introduced the "Two Commandments", a revised "pocket-sized" list of the Ten Commandments ending with the additional commandment of "Thou shalt keep thy religion to thyself." In Israel the government is providing a salary for all the students of Jewish religion.

How is it in Saudi Arabia where religion has such a high esteem in society? Will every graduate get a job in a mosque at least?

And what about non-saudi students when they study Islamic religion in Saudi? Will they be provided with jobs in Saudi-financed mosques abroad?

Almost every religion in the world uses some form of fear factor to make people act “morally”. Example the fear of hell, the fear of karma, and many more.

From your perspective what religion exploits the emotion of fear the most to keep followers in line?
