sorry i wasn´t clear. Yes i understand that the main meaning of the song is that. i also know stipe explains it in that way. But as a writter you dont always tlk about all the meanings of lyric, cause most of the time you have to many things in your mind and is difficult to express. i wa asking if someone see also this other meaning that i thought as a posibility.
