God man to love and bless him, and to fellowship with Him forever. when adam disobeyed, the relationship with God was blocked. the bible also says God does not delight in the death of the wicked. He does not WANT to punish anybody, so He sent Christ, who lived the perfect life we can not. we are credited with His perfection, and he bore our punishment for us, displaying both God mercy and justice- no sin will ever be ignored.
that is why He sent Jesus. was born of a virgin, and as such, He did not inherit Adam’s sinful nature. Instead, He lived the perfect life that God demands. then God essentially swapped our unrighteousness with Christ’s perfect Holiness, so when God sees us, He regards us as perfect, because He wont accept any less. Christ bore the punishment for our sins, that we could not, and thus anyone who believes in Him is declared Justified through His blood.
no, God did not create anything imperfect. Adam was created flawless, and even satan was created perfect, and in fact was one of the highest ranking angels. imperfectness came when adam disobeyed God. Just that one sin separated us from God. but God’s standard’s havent dropped. He still demand perfection. at the same time, because of His great love, God doesnt wasnt to punish anybody. but his justice demands every sin be dealt with.
I’m not an American but I’ve always found it amusing and interesting how the Right wing Republican crowd hate the left leaning Democrats so much. They call them “Liberals” I don’t get this, is not to be liberal a term of freedom? The right seems to have a large fundamentalist Christian following, but wasn’t Jesus a Liberal when you think about his teachings and actions? Finally, why are you all so afraid of Socialist ideas? @soccer21928 that’s what it is, 5 pillars, but islam gets deeper than that, remember the quran is 6000+ verses and 80000 words, if it were only 5 pillars what is on the rest of those pages, and you have sunnah hadith and tafseer, so muslims are commanded to do more than that. what you are saying makes me glad i am a muslim because humans are created inperfect so how can he demand perfection, so what you are saying is that god didn’t know what he was doing!

So let me get this straight.. we have god who creates man for the sole purpose of punishing his creation (more or less), and the only way to null the eternity of suffering placed on each of our heads is to jump on the christ band wagon driven entirely by man, gods creation who god himself deems as being born into sin and therefore untrustworthy. They base their lifestyles, self identity and beliefs on a faith in atheism which has no merit…. just like the “faithful” creationists that believe in a supreme deity. God does not demand us to be mostly good, he demands perfection. every sin must be accounted for. doing good cant blot out transgressions. God does not ignore sin, if He did, He would not be just. everyone who has comitted just a single sin deserves eternity in hell.
that is incorrect. the bible says once we are saved, we are slaves to righteousness. it also says, we are controled by the Spirit of God. galatians 5:13 warns us against your kind of thinking-”You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love” if someone claims to be a Christians, yet they are not bearing fruit, then they arent truly saved. when you accept Jesus, He become both savior and Lord.

Please consider the following when reading the quran: dont read it like any other scripture, because it will only sound random and disjuncted, you have to prepare you mind to understand it and acknowledge the tafseer (quran study is a science!!!), the problem with translations is that each verse is treated as issolated verses, many translators and commentars mentioned this, so you have many translations with related verses grouped into paragraphs to make clearer understanding. that’s important

You’ll see that your flippant comments about atheists “hating” and “being intolerant” and “close minded” are misplaced.

Essentially not much difference between the religious zealot and the atheist. Both mindlessly base their lives on a faith(in god or not in god) and are driven to hate other people that don’t subscribe to their belief system. They’re both extremely intolerant of other people that are different from them. They don’t have open minds and leave no room for any discourse that might make them see a point of view different from their own beliefs. Their beliefs differ but the net effects are same
